Example if I use Roth Ira account to buy VIIIX&#8230;.then sell a year later to buy HACAX.\u00a0 Will I have to pay taxes on the gains?\u00a0 Assuming I sold VIIIX at a profit but then turn around and used all of it to buy HACAX.\u00a0 Are all transactions gains or losses part of that tax year of said transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>QUESTION 2<\/strong><br>If I want to invest more than my max 6k a year to my Roth IRA, can I just invest extra to the same fund using my brokerage account outside of my Roth account? Is that a good strategy for investment long term?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>QUESTION 3<\/strong><br>Currently contributing 15% to my work 401k. They match 50% up to 6%.
