Hey guys, I’m in a unique situation where I don’t have\/need a car, don’t pay rent, NO DEBT,\u00a0 my only fixed bills are cell phone ($30) and YouTube ($12) per month, and I make close to 6 figures after taxes. I want to start saving money to invest, but I’m kind of at a loss on how much I should be spending on groceries, entertainment, hygiene, etc. and without a defined budget I find myself spending large on restaurants and other activities. Any advice or resources on what a realistic budget should look like in my situation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have probably a pretty dumb question but I wanted to get some other perspectives.\u00a0 The last several years, we have been putting $1400\/month into a savings account at our bank.\u00a0 The main purpose of the funds are to be used every 4 or 5 years to purchase a new vehicle.\u00a0 My question is whether it would be better to invest this money into a mutual fund or something instead of putting in a savings account with basically earns pennies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
